Chatsworth house

After an amaizing weekend in sunny Bergen, we went straight to Olivers parents in Derby to spend the easter holidays with his family! We couldnt belive our eyes when we saw all the snow!
Heard  about all the snow in the midlands but didn't think it still would be snow, was just like Norway.
Luckily it was sunny so on saterday we went to visit Chatsworth house, wanted to see it for ages!!
A number of movies like Wolfman with Anthony Hopkins, Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley and more have been set around this breathtaking house!

Would love to come back when the snow is gone though, when all the flowers are in full bloom.
We went for a walk in the gardens, and since it was easter they had hidden 11 golden eggs around the garden for the kids to find!A big hit! Aleksander absolutly loved it!On the picture you can see one over my head:)
After walking around in the garden for a couple of hours I could not feel my feet anymore, walking with wellis in snow its not the best...Wish I had brought my snowshoes from Bergen.
But warmed up with a delicious asparges soup in the resturant.
Was such a great day and I really recommend a trip here!Great fun for the hole family.
We only took the garden walk ( £10 for grown ups and £ 6 for kids, and you have to pay extra if you want to see inside the house or the farm.So its not cheap...) will do the farm next time!

Fact about Chatsworth House
Its near Bakewell,Derbyshire and was built in 1553!!
Its known as The Palace of the Peaks and is one of the country's greatest Treasure Houses.
