A visit from Norway :)

It was SO nice to see Rikke and Linda again this weekend! Although it has nearly been a year since last time I saw them, it only felt like days! Chatting away like we used to! :)
I am so glad we can still keep in contact although we live in different countries and come from different cities in Norway.

Friday night we popped to the local pub, where we met up with a few other mums that Rikke and Linda had good contact with last year when they lived here in Wimbledon, namely
Kristin, Jenny, Tone and Kristina :)

On Saturday it was open school day at my boys' school, so whilst I went to school, Linda and Rikke went to Wimbledon and Wimbledon Village to do some shopping. In the afternoon we met up in Hashi in Durham Road for a late lunch, a Japanese restaurant Linda and Rikke used to visit A LOT last year ;)

Absolutely delicious food!! Yum Yum!

The rest of the weekend they spent in Central London, shopping and enjoying the city. I wish I could have gone out with them on Saturday night, but Jens had his Taekwondo grading early Sunday morning, something I didn't want to miss, so I decided to be sensible for once, and spend the Saturday night at home with my boys :)

Look at these STUNNING girls!!

Thank you girls for coming to Wimbledon to see me, it was SO nice! Looking forward to the next time!

Sunny London!

First of all; we're not dead, life is just extremely hectic at the moment! :)

Monday to Wednesday I worked at my sons school, helping out on a project they're working on. Wednesday was Jens's 10'th birthday <3, so after school, I made him a cake, had pizza delivered (his favourite) before taking him to his weekly Taekwondo lesson.

On top of this, we're moving in the end of May (just locally), and there's constantly scheduled viewings!! busy, busy!

The weather has been extremely good, over 20 degrees (celsius) - outdoor weather for sure.
On Thursday, I finally had a few spare hours to spend with Irene, and since the weather was so lovely, we headed for the park - Cannizaro Park this time. Sooo lovely to sit on a bench and enjoy the SUN, drinking lots off coffee off course! ;) The park is so stunning and being a five minute walk from where I live, I always take my boys here to play football and feed the ducks.

Tonight I am having visitors, Linda and Rikke is coming from Norway, and I am SOOO exited!! :-D They both lived here in the UK last year, and we had so much fun together! I haven't seen them since July, so it will be great to catch up!! :)

I will post about the visit when I get the chance, I promise it won't be a week until next post! ;)

Have to run!

Get the look

My inspiration on how to dress has always been from looking what the celebs wear, and even they might wear expensive designer outfits I could only dream of buying...you can always get the look for less in the high  street shops! My absolute favourite shop is River Island, before I moved to London i spent hours in the shop whenever I did visit cause its not in Norway(sadly), but now you can order online=)
Molly King definitly know how to dress even if its for a night out or just travelling, looks so easy!!!Wish i could look so effordless chic when im flying to Bergen once a month with Aleksander..But I could try, and on my wish list is these two similar outfits.Everything is from River Island and you can also buy it online, I really need new black heels, the River Island once are to dye for!Comes in different colours and its leather, wich its so important!Cant wait to have them in my shoe collection, like most girls I cant get enough shoes=)

Nine years!!

Oh yes! It sounds like an awful long time, nine years since I got married back home in Haugesund.

From the photos to judge, it looks like it's 100 years ago, but that's just because I didn't have the originals here in England, and my sister took photos of the originals on her mobile and sent them to me via Mms. ;) Better than not having any photos to share at all! :) Btw, thanks Reidunn :)

Honestly, it feels like such a looong time ago too!

Tonight we're going to share a bottle of wine whilst watching Breaking Bad on Netflix :) I know, not very romantic, but I'm really not a romantic person! I'd much rather drink beer and watch football than all that romance stuff..haha, sometimes I wonder if I really should have been born a boy!? ;) :)

Hair, nails and protein smoothie :)

Today Irene highlighted my hair, and whilst the bleach was working, I did her nails! What a great way to do it!

I took a bit too long doing Irene's nails, and before we knew it, my fringe was bleached a bit too white..wooops!! It was my fault, as I "just had to do this, and then that" and when Irene in the end told me I HAD to go rinse out my hair, it was really too late...Oh well, at least it didn't fall off! ;)

Looking fabulous...Or not! ;)

We decided to go neon with the nails, such a cool colour and perfect this season! Love shellac as it lasts a lot longer than normal nail polish.

Over to something completely different; anyone tried to use Pepsi Max in their protein smoothie? It was yummy!
I am really not a big fan of protein shakes, as I find them tasting disgusting! But it is such an easy and quick way to get your protein after your workout. I use protein powder with no flavouring, as although still not tasting nice, at least it is better than the horrible vanilla/chocolate/strawberry flavoured powders on the market. At least I think so.
When you make a smoothie with berries and protein powder, it tastes much better if you use, for instance,  apple juice instead of water. But as Apple juice contains a lot of carbs, I decided to try to add some Pepsi Max. And the taste was really nice!! Finally I've found a protein shake/smoothie I actually like! Next time I'll try Sprite Zero, I am sure that will be delicious too! :) :)

Busy bees

So sorry we haven't been updating our blog, being a stay at home mum is really busy belive it or not!
The last couple of weeks have been insane so our blog had to wait, but we are still here and alive:)
In the spring it's always a lot of birthday's including our kids in April and May, and today we took a trip to Kingston to get some presents for this weekends birthdayparty!
After my car broke down again on my way to school, and barley got it to the garage, must been there hundred times this winter!!SO sick of it, but going to look at cars on saterday! Think the good old Ka needs a rest!
Luckily I made it to school on time before the bus to Legoland, thank god!!Not the best day for the car to break down!
1 and 2 grade had a schooltrip to Legoland today, and Aleksander had been looking forward to it for ages!! Can't believe they get to go to legoland, they get to do and see so much! And London has so ,much to offer for kids! The school knows to make the most of it!
No wonder they love school:)

A walk in the woods

Yesterday we went for a long walk in Wimbledon common. Although we love dressing up and wearing heels, it's so nice to sometimes just wear your trainers and relaxing, comfortable clothes all day long.

Walking, whilst chatting away in the crisp air was really fun and refreshing!

Although we're both in our thirties, we always have time to play ;)

We walked for a while, and passed this creepy, yet weirdly beautiful graveyard..if you can call a graveyard beautiful..? We were joking about going there for Halloween...but concluded with the fact that we'd probably be a hundred times more scared than our children! So we've definitely decided not to! ;)

On our way we stopped at the Windmill Cafe for a cup of coffee before heading back home.

It really does not feel like we're in London at all when we're walking about in these beautiful woods! Would recommend to everyone visiting London to take a trip to Wimbledon Common or Richmond Park. It is amazing that such wide open spaces and beautiful scenery are just a short trip from the normal tourist hot spots in central London!
