The Magic Wand

Harry Potter has his magic wand, and I have mine. Along with the straightener this is
one of my favourite tools!  Its and old invention, and go way back even before electricity , when they used to heat the wand on the stove to create beautiful curls=)

As you can see from the pictures, it makes more wavy curls then the straightener.
It takes longer to do though! So its more for those days you want to look your best!
The key is to part the hair in separated sections, and always start on the under hair and work your way up! That way you don't loose control of which hair you have curled.

If you want you can use some pins and pull it back from the front, I used 4 pins and still kept the hairdo pretty much loose.

If you add some flowers you will have the hippie feeling in no time!

Hair jewellery are getting more and more popular and its a new twist to any look.
So I'm definitely going to get some, and its added to my wish list for the spring=)

Please ask if you have any questions or suggestions on hairdos you want to learn=)

Super mom

Ok I admit it, I'm not that typical super mom who magically makes the most delicious cakes or cookies.
So why not take advantage of all the super 1-2-3 mixes out there??!!
Problem solved, I can pretend like im Bree in Desperate Houswife, they dont look burned and they taste yummy=)And Aleksander thinks im the best mom in the world=)

Just add egg, oil and water and you have a thick sticky dough, use a tbsp to make little balls and put on a tray.

Stick them in for 10 min in the oven, and voila perfect chocolate cookies (my favourite is the mixes from Betty Crockers)
Always a sucsess!!
The sun came out today so I had my cookies in the garden with a cup of coffee, nothing better than homemade cookies!!!If you add eggs its homemade if you ask me;)

Looks cosy with some cookies on the dresser in the kitchen, but knowing my boys they disappear in no time!So all the moms out there who cant or dont have time to bake, go ahead and buy a mix=)

Birds and Red Boots

A splash of colour brightens up a cold, dark and grey day!

And these red boots always do the trick, dont be afraid of some colour.
Adding colour on youre shoes or handbag is an easy way to make the outfit more exiting !

My bird top is an old favourit from Jenny Skavlan for Bik Bok,
absolutly love it.
Got a dress and a skirt from the same collection, also with birds,
and everytime I wear it i get compliments or questions where i
got it from=)
Sadly its not in the shop anymore, but ebay( in my appinion )have
everything. You might be lucky there if you look=)

The zip is such a cool detail, a shame to let the hair cover it really...

You can never have enough hangbags, and the clutches comes in all shapes
and different designs at the moment!

Brighton

Brighton is a buzzing, vibrant and colourful city on Englands South East coast. Being only about an hours drive from London, it's a super place to go for a day out. Me and my boys drove down, but I would strongly recommend going by train (took us over one hour to find parking!!) Good thing we had a great time once we had parked :):) The famous Brighton pier is always popular amongst kids, with its fairground rides and games. The pier is the only pier in England to be open year-round.

Famous for its pebbled beaches, Brighton has a lot more on offer, and is popular with tourists year-round.
When the weather is warm, you can enjoy a day on the beach, especially as you can hire the deck-chairs for free.

We spent the day with our good friends Martin, Karen and Tallulah. David and Martin took the children for a run on the beach, whilst me and Karen headed for the shops! :)

A short walk from the pier, lies the hip and funky area of North Laine. Known as the cultural quarter of the city, it boasts 300 individual shops, as well as cafes, bars, pubs and theatres. We stumbled upon this amazing chocolate shop here, Choccywoccydoodah, everything you see in the window is handmade and edible, true art!

Chocolate artistry

You'll also find a handfull of vintage shops here, where you can find some truly uniqe garments, that is if you have time, and can be bothered to look. I found a couple of tops in this 60s inspired shop, 'To be worn again', which I am really exited about! Can't wait to wear them!

It was cold down there, snowing lightly all day, and I really wished I had worn my fur coat, but at least I had my scarf and hat on! :)

London Fashion Week ❤Top Shop

As one of the few high street shops Top shop are allowed to have a show under LWF, and the new A/W collection from Uniqe did not disappoint!
The show was on Sunday and is one of the best shows the whole LFW!
Some of the most trendy celebs like Pixie Geldolf, Kate Bosworth and Olivia Palermo were on the front row.
And it's not only the celebs who loves the high street shop,
we absolutely love Top Shop, they're always a step ahead and it's affordable for us without a million in the bank too:)
Sadly they don't have any shops in Norway and they don't ship, so happy we have Top Shop outside our doorstep now!
You can always count on finding an outfit there!
This A/W 13 are back to the 90s,
which is strong this spring as well.
Cropped tops, transparent fabrics,laquer,..And something we never thought we would see again..Buffalo inspired shoes..,don't know if we will jump on that trend...again...ha ha!
Monochrome, bold colours, even shiny faux leather in wild colours if you want to get noticed!
Can't wait for spring and more colourful outfits, spring is the best time of the year!
But regardless what's on trend, dress in what you like and look good in!
Get inspired  from  Top Shop A/W 13 here

Smokey eyes

When evening calls for a glamorous look, you want to focus on making your eyes amazing.

On Irene I wanted to use different shades of brown, and highlight with light shimmer. By doing this, your eye make up can easily be changed from a normal day look to a sensual evening effect.
Making smokey eyes with different shades of brown, you'll end up with a less harsh result than the traditional black/grey look.

I am addicted to the cat-eyed look, and always use a wet eyeliner on my own eyes.
To create the winged-out edge, flick your eyeliner brush upwards and outwards at the outer corner. Be sure to taper it instead of making it a thick, squarish line.
This takes some practice, but practice makes perfect :)

(Sorry for the poor photo quality under..used my mobile..)

Some light brown eyeshadow and mascara makes the look complete.

Add some darker shades of brown eyeshadow for an evening look.

This look will go with both your badass leather jacket, and a pretty party dress.;)

At the end, a few pics of today's outfit! :)
