Low carb chocolate mousse

Fancy something sweet?

I did today, so I searched my fridge for ingredients. I found a full jar of whipping cream that needed to be used, and decided to make chocolate mousse.

It is quick and really easy to make.




 Here's what you need;


 -300 ml whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1/2 sachet gelatine powder
-2 tbl spoons truvia sweetener

Mix whipping cream, vanilla extract and truvia and whisk it until creamy. Sieve in the cocoa powder whilst whipping (don't make it too stiff as you need to whisk in the gelatine too)
Dissolve gelatine powder in 1/2dl of hot water. Pour the gelatine into the cream in a thin line, whilst whisking to make sure there's no lumps.

Turn the mixture into a small serving bowl, add 25g grated low carb chocolate (I buy mine from lowcarbmegastore.com ) and leave for about an hour in the fridge to set.

Serve with strawberries for a delicious dessert! 


Ps. This is low carb, NOT low in calories, so a little will go a long way ;)






This recipe makes 4 servings. Each serving, including 4-5 strawberries contains just under 320 calories and about 7g net carbs.
