Finally we got some warm sun again, perfect for the bank holiday!!Started of bitterly cold on saterdays football practice but Sunday was a total different story! We have been so lucky to have a sweet 16 year old girl as a neighbour, and she loves to babysit! So yesterday we decided to go out on a date in Kingston, its so important to keep the romance in the relationship! And since my family is in Norway and Oliver's in Derby, im so happy we found a babysitter we can trust.Aleksander loves her to so he couldnt wait for us to go on a date=)
Perfect warm night to sit and enjoy wine next to the Themes, its so beautiful there.
Felt like we were in Spain on a littel mini holiday, so nice to spend some time togheter alone!Need to do it much more, no excuses no that we got a babysitter! And live in London, hello!!!All the things to do!
After spending the first half of our evening in Kingston, it died a bit down(even it was bankholiday and monday off). But they have a big nightlife where we live so we went back there and had such a laugh!! A perfect date with my perfect man!!Love love love!!!
Normally I feel horrible hangover but after a cup of tea and some headache tablets I felt like new.
The weather is still great so we didnt want to waste the day off in bed, so we packed our bags with snacks and went to Epsom downs.
Its nothing more cosy with a family picnic in the sun, we did syckle far so Aleksander impressed me!
Even he was tired he still went on going!
Epsom Downs are really impressiv, its so beautiful and a great place to spend the day with the kids.
Today they were preparing the racecourse in readiness for saterdays Derby horserace, sadly im in Norway on saterday otherwice I would have been there!Oliver is going with some of hi's friends, will be great fun and lots of drinking! And off course betting on horses
Aleksander got me play tick, he knows how to keep his mum fit.Cant remeber it was so exhausting playing tick when I was littel...But it's still great fun=)
Some hills are just to hard for a littel boy to syckle, and to be fair we had been running around in the grass!Been a wonderful minibreak, but its only 4 weeks left before the summerholiday!!Cant belive it!Why does the time go so fast?!?

Taco pizza horns
First of all, I think the weather Gods saw my blogpost yesterday, as this morning we woke up to warm, beautiful weather!! :) :)
Yesterday I baked pizza horns. Irene makes this recipe a lot; they are perfect for the boys to take to school in their lunch boxes for a special treat.
Firstly, make the pizza dough; about 1/ 2kg flour, 1/2 tspoon salt, 1 tablespoon oil, 1 sachet dried yeast and about 3 dl lunk warm water. Mix it all together in a bowl and leave to rise for about one hour. These measurments are only approximate, as I don't ever follow a recipe myself, I just chuck it all in. You see when the concistency is right.
Pizza filling; 500 grams mince, 1 onion, 1/2 sachet of fahjita or taco powder, 2 tbl spoons tomato puree and a little water.

Roll out the dough to a big circle. Using a pizza cutter, cut the circle into 8 pieces.
add the pizza filling (or any filling of your choise), a bit of cheese and roll them up.
Make sure to twist the ends so they don't leak.
Brush them with eggyolk, add a little grated cheese on the top and put in the oven at 225 degrees for about 10 minutes. Really tasty!
Now I have to continue packing. Not sure I've mentioned it before, but we have to be out of our apartment by Friday. We are moving to my parents-in-law for a few weeks, until the school term finishes 21st June. Then I am taking my boys to Norway for a month or so whilst David is back in London working, and finding us a new, bigger house to live in. :) We need a new house ready by the start of August when we're coming back to England! Busy busy! :)

Shouldn't it be warm by now????!!!
W-H-E-R-E is the warm weather??? It's June next week, and it's still freezing cold here, I almost froze to death watching the boys play football today!! Irene told me it apparently is the coldest spring in the UK in 34 years! Ok, we've had a few warm days, but at the moment it's warmer in Norway than it is here! It just doesn't make any sense at all!
At least I had packed some hot coffee :)
Brrrr...smile and pretend everything is OK :)
The weather has really gotten to me now, really can't be bothered to dress up at all, I just know if I do I get absolutely bitter! I might be Norwegian, but I am as far from a Viking as can be. ;) Can't stand being cold, so I just wear my usual comfy and warm clothes...and wait for the weather to change...
By the way; we would love it if you like our facebook page; Londonwives

Run for cancer
Almost every morning I watch Lorraine on Itv, and a month ago I saw you could enter Run for cancer with Lorraine the 14th of may in Dulwich. It was only 5k so it wasnt a big race but would be fun and for a really important case.So I asked one of the other mums from the school and we ended up with 7 of us!Everybody was exited about doing the race and help raising money for cancer, and I know everybody know somebody being effected by this horrible disease! And every littel helps getting more money in for research! The weather was not on our side, so before the run we took shelter in a little cafe near by(where we spent the most of the day,we ended up going back to the same cafe for lunch..ha ha)
Before the race everybody was warming up with some aerobic, and maybe we get to see us on TV doing these cool moves. Not embarrasing at all being filmed...
Looking sporty for the filmcamera..ha ha;)
The Norwegian mums ready to race, after being freezing cold in the rain we couldnt wait to get going!
And we finished in great time, as one of the first to complete the race!
Off course we had to get a picture with the star of the show Lorraine, Lorraine=)So weird to actually meet her after watching her on tv all the time! She is such a sweet person!
Been a great day and im really proud of us, and I know it will not be the last race we will do togheter!!

Low carb chocolate mousse
Fancy something sweet?
I did today, so I searched my fridge for ingredients. I found a full jar of whipping cream that needed to be used, and decided to make chocolate mousse.
It is quick and really easy to make.
Here's what you need;
-300 ml whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1/2 sachet gelatine powder
-2 tbl spoons truvia sweetener
Mix whipping cream, vanilla extract and truvia and whisk it until creamy. Sieve in the cocoa powder whilst whipping (don't make it too stiff as you need to whisk in the gelatine too)
Dissolve gelatine powder in 1/2dl of hot water. Pour the gelatine into the cream in a thin line, whilst whisking to make sure there's no lumps.
Turn the mixture into a small serving bowl, add 25g grated low carb chocolate (I buy mine from lowcarbmegastore.com ) and leave for about an hour in the fridge to set.
Serve with strawberries for a delicious dessert!
Ps. This is low carb, NOT low in calories, so a little will go a long way ;)
This recipe makes 4 servings. Each serving, including 4-5 strawberries contains just under 320 calories and about 7g net carbs.
Enjoy :)

A day at the beach, but not on the coast! :)
Only just under one hours drive from London, you can get the proper beech feel, without actually being on the seaside.
Imagine driving into the deepest depths of the Surrey countryside and stumbling across a beach scene with people sunbathing on warm sand, swimming in calm waters and playing with beach balls and bucket and spades.
Frensham Great Pond in Farnham has a beautiful sandy beach which is a great draw on summer's days.
To be honest, I prefer this from the actual seaside, as there is no coastal fog or wind, and it is much closer to London :)
Whether you want to relax on the sand or take a tranquil stroll and discover the wildlife, Frensham Common and Ponds is an educational and fun day out for all ages throughout the year.

The weather was absolutely stunning, a perfect day to hit the beach! But be sure to get there early to get the best spot on the beach. It is very popular when the sun is shining!
You can explore the common by using its network of footpaths and bridleways, including a circular loop around the pond. The loop took us around an hour, walking slowly, stopping to enjoy the scenery and exploring the woodland as we walked.
Geese, swans and ducks were walking about everywhere, and there were also a few awfully cute ducklings and goslings there :)
It is probably best to avoid walking the complete loop if you have pushchairs, as it would be very difficult to navigate through the sand at some places.
View of the beach from the opposite side of the pond.
Parking costs £3 for the whole day, and there is also a cafeteria, but I recommend bringing your own food unless you fancy average fast food (burgers and hot dogs). But they do sell ice cream for the kids.
We had an absolutely lovely day, and will definitely be going back as soon as the opportunity rises.
I would highly recommend it!!
